Summary of Job Purpose
The Marketing Coordinator’s focus is in three areas: maintaining daily continuity of marketing tasks and opportunities, responsibility for effectively communicating the resort’s daily snow/conditions reporting and providing leadership and support for general marketing needs, including the Front Desk, Group Sales, Guest Services and events. The Marketing Coordinator is the lead person for maintaining the systems and documentation for continuity of these responsibilities. This position supports the Marketing & Sales department, under the direction of the Marketing & Sales Director in maintaining oversight of all aspects of the company’s marketing effort, including but not limited to online marketing and e-commerce, advertising, direct and e-mail marketing, event marketing, collateral materials, and promotions.

Action Plans: Organize departmental action plans to achieve goals and success of the Marketing Department, particularly in areas of creativity, writing, continuity, maintenance of systems, promotion of brand, and coordination with others.
Snow Reporting: Leads all resort snow reporting efforts. Ensures that Dodge Ridge online snow report and snow phone are continually updated. Ensures that plan is in place for snow reporting coverage during days off. Accurately and efficiently update the daily snow phone, online snow report, grooming map, employee information sheet, resort fact sheet, media screens and marketing snow reporting documentation.
Snow Conditions: Understand the variety of snow condition that exist with the ability to appropriately present information on these conditions to the public within the context of the snow report, both written and verbal (recorded).
Photography / Videography: Develop and curate a photo/video shot list of all elements associated with the Dodge Ridge experience, including conditions, employees, events guests enjoying the mountain and informational guest service communications.
Website Updates: Works with marketing and other departments to ensure content on Dodge Ridge website is up-to-date and relevant to customers. Experience with WordPress preferred.
Email Marketing: Partner with Marketing Director to provide content for and potentially design and schedule Dodge Ridge’s email marketing campaigns using existing platform.
Events: Provide event organization, planning, coordination and execution.
Graphic Design: Provide input, assist with production and potentially design work for Dodge Ridge’s collateral and graphics needs throughout the season.
Social Media Management: The Marketing Coordinator will take a lead role in assuring that Dodge Ridge’s social media channels are regularly updated with relevant and timely content and that all questions or complaints on social channels are addressed promptly.
Internal Communications: The Marketing Coordinator will be the go-to source for developing successful internal communications with key resort managers and front-line staff in order to ensure that marketing messages are being passed along to customers and brand standards are being observed.
Teamwork: Support Front Desk, Guest Services, and Group Sales activities as needed.
Guest Service: Professionally interact with guests over a range of situations including general information, sales, marketing, event participation, complaints, employment, and safety. Always with guest service as the top consideration.
Risk Management: Be safety conscious and oriented in all aspects of employment
