Position Title: Intensive In-Home Supervisor

Purpose: The Intensive In-home supervisor provides clinical and administrative guidance for 3-5 IIH teams. IIH is a time-limited intensive family preservation intervention intended to stabilize the living arrangement, promote reunification or prevent the utilization of out-of-home therapeutic resources (i.e., psychiatric hospital, therapeutic foster care, residential treatment facility) for the identified youth through the age of 18. This service is delivered primarily to children in their family's home. All treatment must be directed toward the eligible recipient of in-home services. This intervention uses a team approach designed to address the identified needs of children and adolescents who are transitioning from out of home placements or are at risk of out-of-home placement and need intensive interventions to remain stable in the community. Team to family ratio shall not exceed one to eight (1 to 8) for each three-person team. This population has access to a variety of interventions twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days per week by staff that will maintain contact and intervene as one (1) organizational unit.


  • Must be a licensed professional or provisionally licensed (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
  • Must have a minimum of (2) years documented direct practice experience with population
  • Minimum of (1)year supervisory experience in community mental health

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position is the clinical and administrative leader for 3-8 IIH teams.
  • Provide direct, ongoing weekly supervision of IIH team leaders
  • Hire, train, and retain team leaders and other required staff.
  • Market the program to all internal and external stakeholders and ensure a consistent referral stream.
  • Assess for and start-up new IIH teams as the need arises.
  • Approve team leader timesheets and billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate and conduct peer review
  • Ensure incident reports are prepared and submitted on time
  • Manage utilization review. Make sure the team is achieving productivity requirements and submitting authorization requests in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and manage team dynamics/processes to ensure a cohesive team consistently delivers clinically appropriate services.
  • Monitor and assure teams compliance with IIH service definition requirements in order to successfully minimize payback risk in any state, federal, or LME aud
  • Monitor and assure that team leaders and the team as a whole are delivering best practice and evidenced-based services.
  • Conduct in-service training and coordinate outside training when needed.
  • Participate in IIH team meetings when needed to problem-solve difficult cases.
  • Serve as a backup team leader when needed. This would include providing direct IIH interventions and supports to families and providing on-call crisis coverage.
