Share Email Opening Title Print Production Assistant / Designer  Description JOB SUMMARY: Provide quality printed materials to Rhode Island Distributing in an efficient, economical and timely manner. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Printing and finish work of Menus, Posters, Marketing Material Effective use of materials and equipment to complete printing with minimal waste Inventory of paper, printer supplies, adhesives, and other necessary materials Place orders with vendors per instruction of manager Operate printing equipment, perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions Handle multiple projects while maintaining scheduled deadlines Stock supplies as necessary Occasional installs and merchandising at accounts/customers Responsible for all finish work including but not limited too, cutting, scoring, mounting, laminating, copying, booklet making, etc. Attention to detail and steady hand to provide quality finish work. Design Marketing Material Conceptualize, design and produce sales and marketing materials including but not limited to menus, table tents, posters, banners, large format signage and graphics for social media Maintain knowledge of our products and suppliers Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, to effectively complete custom, generic, and template print requests   Position Requirements High school diploma, college degree preferred Ability to lift cases of paper, supplies, etc. Ability to stand for long periods of time Must have problem solving skills Have a working knowledge using Macintosh platform. Have a strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop Creative experience and knowledge of basic layout principles Minimum one year of demonstrated experience in design or print shop operations Portfolio/samples of previous design work required   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift Days   Division Rhode Island Distributing Co.
