New Friends Memory Care is a Vibrant Life Senior Living property with three 20-unit lodges. Each lodge is separated by level of care and memory support. This allows our residents to receive the individual care they need.

Job Purpose
As a care provider (Care Friend) you will be responsible for providing person-centered care that focuses on each resident with respect to his or her unique history, abilities, experiences, culture and personality. Providing life enhancing, quality, and compassionate care that gives purpose and meaning to the relationship between individuals with dementia, their families, care staff and their community home.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides direct care and assistance to our residents, acknowledging everyone's remaining strengths and needs, including activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting (including incontinence care).
Provides: Friendship, independence and dignity, respect and sense of control, treatment as an individual, not a disease, usefulness, physical comfort, emotional security, stimulating activity and meaningful relationships, spiritual well-being (mind, body, and spirit)
Also responsible for: Providing dining services, daily housekeeping, and laundry service
Participation in resident activities.
Wheelchair and walking escorts, answers to all resident needs, aids de-escalate behaviors.
Completes and documents appropriate resident information
Follows and maintains knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures
Communicates with appropriate management, concerns regarding resident care, changes in, health status, behaviors, etc.
Identifies and address the unique safety needs of persons with dementia
Considers the residents individual interests and preferences in order to maintain their customary activities with people they love and involvement with extended friends in the community, as much as possible, for as long as possible.
Takes personal ownership and responsibility for maintaining a clean and welcoming community for everyone.
Abides by all company policies and procedures
Attends all company required staff meetings & trainings.
