A two man team begins this process by aligning the folded corner sections of the top with a hammer. The outside corner edge of the top is then MIG welded with a hand torch (repeated on other side of casket) then slid down the conveyor to the next station. 18 and 20 gauge steel is welded at this station. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The team is required to operate as a team in order to produce a quality part in an efficient way while maintaining safety requirements of Astral Industries. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: PPE includes safety glasses, welding mask, welding gloves, and ear plugs (added PPE may cause an increase in body temperature which could lead to heat related injury). Work environment is indoors and may be hot/humid.
