What You Will Be Doing

The Financial Reporting Manager position ensures general accounting functions are performed accurately and timely. This position is also tasked with providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company's future.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the activities of corporate accounting to assure accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to: internal and external monthly analysis of financial statements; monthly journal entries; and work papers.
  • Assist with annual financial audits and any additional external audit requests.
  • Coordinate annual budgets – working closely with department leaders in developing budgets.
  • Assure all taxes are filed timely.
  • Work with an audit firm to provide all information required to file taxes.
  • Generate annual cost reports on a timely basis – allowing time for internal review and audit review.
  • Reconcile payroll and payroll taxes, revenue and receivable, accrual and Deferred Liabilities and Debt.
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany entries and eliminations.
  • Oversee Treasury and Property Insurance Renewal functions.
  • Provide monthly financial analysis and assist with departmental and inter-company financial reviews. Prepare forecasts and special analysis as requested.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data.
  • Respond to CFO, Director of Finance and Controller as requested and required with accurate and timely work to facilitate his/her financial needs.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position is responsible for managing accounting staff.

 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, financial, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in accounting.
  • CPA Certification
  • Two years of cost accounting experience.
  • Strong general ledger, GAAP, cost accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and banking knowledge.
  • Excellent computer skills – including spreadsheets and word processing tools – and ability to learn new programs expeditiously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Managerial Experience.
