SAFY of Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a mission driven professional to serve as Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Worker responsible for providing services to clients either in Treatment Foster Care, Outpatient Mental Health, or the Safe-at-Home safety service program. The services provided by this position utilize a broad array of intervention techniques required to effectively address client needs. Techniques may include: behavior management, social competency, problem identification and resolution, effective communication, self-sufficiency, and life goals. In the Safety Service program, intervention techniques include: behavioral management, crisis management, social connection, resource support, and separation.

As a PSR Worker you would;

  • Provide skill-building services to assigned individuals and families utilizing a broad array of intervention technique required to effectively address client needs.
  • Provide parent education training and psychosocial interventions.
  • Meet monthly utilization standards as required by supervisor.
  • Timely completion of billing tickets and progress notes.
  • Be responsible for completion and accuracy of assessments identified (i.e. Risk Assessment, and Suicide/Homicidal Assessment).
  • Work as a member of a team to develop, assign, and implement services to children and families with annual treatment plans and safety plans including explicit goals.
  • Monitor and document treatment plan outcomes on a quarterly basis.
  • Report via appropriate documentation all notable incidents directly to the supervisor as well as referring agencies as defined in the contract/agreement.
  • Establish contact and maintain professional communications with referral sources as required by program design.
  • Attend sessions outside of the organization as recommended and approved.
  • Assist families in identifying and using community resources to successfully meet their needs.
  • Maintain flexible hours to meet the program needs and perform other duties as assigned or identified by supervisor, staff, clients, foster parents, primary families, referral sources, and the general public.
Position Requirements

What you would bring to this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, child & family studies
  • Four years’ experience of direct work with youth in a social service capacity
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated skill of writing treatment plans, case notes, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours daily and weekly
