We are seeking a Cyber Protection Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will:

 

  • Work directly with stakeholders and project managers in the planning and execution of technical activities on complex projects related to vessel (ship) and technical product development.
  • Support of NAVSEA and other clients with developing System of Systems (SoS) Cybersecurity architecture for Unmanned Vessel Shipbuilding Program and other ship platforms.
  • Integrate multiple Cybersecurity requirements into a consolidated set of requirements for the unmanned and other ship platforms as well as providing risk assessment and risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Provide analysis and design to support development and assessment of alternative network designs
  • Review technical and engineering drawings, and recommend system changes to increase Cybersecurity protection of platform architecture
  • Coordinate with NAVSEA and SPAWAR Cybersecurity POCs to discuss applicability of current and draft Cybersecurity instructions and guidelines for afloat platform
  • Recommend network architectures that best support current and draft Cybersecurity instructions and guidelines applicable to various ship platforms
  • Provide detailed design inputs to system specifications, and drawings
  • Review system design documentation for compliance with applicable requirements, NAVSEA and SPAWAR instructions, and statutory and regulatory policies
 
Position Requirements

 

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking, Cybersecurity, or equivalent applicable discipline
  • 7-10 years’ experience developing RMF/DIACAP packages for DoD 7-10 years’ experience providing Cybersecurity system design support
  • 10-15 years’ experience providing technical engineering / network design support Managerial and Working-level experience implementing Cybersecurity requirements into network system designs
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate recommendations orally and in writing to Senior Leadership to summarize and effectively communicate information and summarize data into reports for project staff and leadership
  • Current IAT level II certifications Desired Qualifications Demonstrated understanding of system categorization (RMF step 1) and security control selection (RMF step)
  • Demonstrated experience applying DoD, NIST, and DoN Cybersecurity requirements into network system designs
  • Security+ Certification; CCNA Certification; Network+ Certification Windows Server Certification; and CISSA or CISSP Certification
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with current Navy vessel As-Is System Architecture/Design
