With such a variety of activities available, it should not come as a surprise that Kaukauna is also known as 'The Friendly City.'   Position Firefighter - Paid On Call   Description Firefighters will perform individually or as a member of a firefighting team and will particiapte in fire suppression activities including: firefighting, rescue, ventilation, forcible entry, salvage and overhaul. This position will function and respond to special operation requests as directed. Firefighters will attend training sessions on a regular basis in order to continuously update their knowledge and skills required for effective work performance. Decisions are made with guidance of a supervisor on an individual level and have a direct effect on life and property. General job functions include: firefighting-emergency, firefighting-non-emergency, water search and rescue, confined space rescue, rescue of entrapped victims and special operations.   Position Requirements Valid Wisconsin driver's license Abilitiy to communicate written and orally Ability to work in adverse weather conditions Ability to adapt to varied emergency situations Ability to work as a member of a team or alone Ability to work safely Ability to recognize hazardous situations   Full-Time/Part-Time   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Shift -not applicable-   Compensation $9.66 per hour for routine training, $13.87 per hour for emergency call-in and $100 quarterly.   Benefits   Open Date 7/24/2019   Close Date 8/23/2019     This position is currently not accepting applications.
