Training and Development Facilitator

The Training and Development Facilitator is responsible for facilitating training and education of Per Mar and Midwest employees. This position is also responsible for the maintenance of Per Mar University database and website. This position creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate and enhance the performance of our employees.   1. Effectively facilitate Basic Security Officer Training (BSOT) and Illinois-20 (IL-20) according to established schedule on an ongoing basis.
  2. Deliver presentations to include classroom, webinars, or video conferencing training or instruction to staff, management and clients covering a wide range of subjects including but not limited to Sedona, Manitou, WinTeam, Per Mar University usage, Outlook, Visio, Microsoft software package, Laserfiche, PeopleFluent and Phones & Voicemail.
  3. Manage and maintain the company wide Learning Management System, including all information and processes in connection to integration with WinTeam.
  4. Facilitate Basic Supervisor Training (BST) sessions as needed.
  5. Update and revise training workbooks for programs used by Per Mar and Midwest Alarms.
  6. Summarize instructor-led evaluation forms and submit to Training and Development Manager for review following each session.
  7. Provide Training and Development Manager with quarterly reports on LMS usage.
  8. Record and manipulate videos for use in Per Mar University.
  9. Conduct all PMC tours for training participants, new employees and visitors. Ensure Tour script is updated and approved.
  10. Maintain training and certification records, including in WinTeam and Per Mar University.
  11. Manage video conferencing scheduling in regards to training classes.
  12. Available to travel approximately 25% of the time with overnight stays being required.
  13. Coordinate and schedule required training classes and/or programs, as needed.
  14. Coordinate and distribute all training materials and related training tools, as needed.
Position Requirements


  1. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or University is preferred; or minimum 2-4 training experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  2. Experience in utilizing instructional methods, techniques and documentation to ensure successful training in required.
  3. Experience in coordinating and maintaining a Learning Management System, is preferred.


  1. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  2. Must be able to obtain Security License as required by State law.
  3. Certification in related field preferred.


  1. Strong computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  2. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  3. Must be detailed oriented and able to handle multiple tasks and varied work volume levels.
  4. Must be able to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization and with external customers.
  5. Must possess sufficient clerical skills to perform essential job functions as listed above.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job (including but not limited to, duties involving site surveys, client visits and post inspections), the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, radiation and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, resulting primarily from phones ringing, printers, and traffic of individuals within the office environment.
