Description

PacArctic is looking for a Network Engineer III to support our government customer in the Washington, DC metro area.

The Network Engineer III will be responsible for implementation of Cable Plant and Infrastructure program activities. Support the scheduled and unscheduled deployment of Cable Plant and Infrastructure systems throughout EAP. Provide knowledgeable level network and computing support with an emphasis on IP, VPN, Active Directory, RF shielding, connectivity and telecommunications. Provide Cable Plant and Infrastructure subject matter expertise and research/development assistance. Evaluate new concepts and technologies. Provide support for the installation of all manner of cable plants. Provide headquarters-based and deployed support for EAP projects as necessary including those accomplished expeditionary environments.

 
Position Requirements

· Experienced knowledge of contingency computing and communications programs with an emphasis on the use of these systems in emergency situations

· Experienced knowledge of fixed and non-fixed computing networking

· Experienced knowledge of connectivity solutions including satellite based system

· Experienced knowledge of overseas environment including high threat locations

· Experienced knowledge of cable infrastructure deployment requirements and activities

· Experienced knowledge of the development of complete bills of material related to the installation of technology systems in U.S. abroad

· Significant experience providing on-site technology service at U.S. facilities abroad

· 5+ years’ of federal computer and networking experience

· 3+ years’ experience managing deployment of contingency computing and computing systems overseas

· 3+ years’ of cryptographic and IT security experience

· Mimimum Secret clearance required, Top Secret clearance preferred

· Cryptographic Clearance

· Ability to lift 50lbs
