PacArctic is looking for a Senior Logistician / Stars II Data Communications Manager to support our government customer in the Washington, DC metro area.

Senior Logistician / Stars II Data Communications Manager will be responsible to provide for overall management of all Cable Plant and Infrastructure life cycle and supply chain activities. Provide cable plant infrastructure subject matter expertise with an emphasis on supply chain and life cycle requirements. Manage, coordinate and de-conflict each of the interrelated activities associated with cable plant infrastructure deployments to include overall deployment planning, logistics management, scheduling, design, material management, installation and travel. Responsible for coordinating and accomplishing procurements and shipments that balance cost, security and time constraints. Review the work of the entire contract team for accuracy and alignment with performance requirements. Use expert knowledge of supply chain procedures and systems. Harmonize all cable plant and infrastructure activities to ensure related deployment schedules are not impacted.

Provide logistics project management support for all EAP posts projects. Provide headquarters-based and deployed support for EAP projects as necessary including those accomplished expeditionary environments.

Position Requirements

· Expert knowledge of procurement and supply chain regulations and guidance

· Expert knowledge of cable infrastructure deployment requirements and activities

· Expert knowledge of the development of complete bills of material related to the installation of technology systems in U.S. and facilities abroad

· Experience ramping up and accomplishing technical staffing surges

· Significant experience providing on-site technology service at U.S. facilities abroad

· Direct experience with supply chain and procurements systems and procedures

· Experience with cryptographic systems

· Experience with warehouse management tools and equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

· 10+ years’ of federal supply chain experience

· 5+ years’ experience managing cable plant installation overseas

· 5+ years’ experience supervising technical staff that is globally dispersed

· 4+ years’ of project management experience

· Active Top Secret and Cryptographic Clearance

· Ability to lift 50lbs

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to stand for extended periods of time. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Includes travel to local, remote and out of state locations.
