Job Description: Work as part of Product Development Team on the ideation/conceptualization, technical development, and launch of company innovative products and features. Take on the challenge of interfacing with various departments, stakeholders and 3rd party contacts in making sure all the products in the pipeline will be designed, manufactured and launched within the committed timelines. Research and understand customer requirements, competitive offerings, operational impacts, regulations and other industry constraints. Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive business growth. Plan, coordinate and implement production schedules to meet forecasts. Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, product life-cycle documentation, roadmaps, and other relevant reports. Assesses market competition by comparing competitors products. Partner with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, forecasts and product roadmaps. Create buy-in for product vision and own functional specs and user stories. Define and analyze key metrics to inform decision-making and measure success. Determines product pricing and positioning strategies by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, costing special and customized order. Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes. Conduct user research and various tests to scope and prioritize product initiatives. Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes. Manage closely daily workflow with team of engineers and designers locally and overseas to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources. Work alongside quality control team to develop products of intended appropriate quality. Identify and understand emerging trends and opportunities in the retargeting space to enhance current product portfolio. Responsible for documentation and carrying out or training for customer service/technical support for new products. Ensure the appropriate product compliance tied to region, governmental regulations, channel types, or customer requirements. Focus on continuous improvement in the product development process both domestically and with teams overseas by implementing steps currently not in place. Trusted product resource for what drives and how to accelerate business growth. Act as product evangelist to build awareness and understanding. Work with outsourced specialists in certain fields as needed for each project. Work with outside focus groups to stress test products and gather feedback to ensure highest quality level of product offerings. Potentially work in collaboration with other partners on designated projects. Represent the company by presenting to customers and potential clients to solicit feedback on company products. Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed. |
