About the Organization Hill Country Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Centers is a unit of local government and a not-for-profit, 501C provider of Mental Health and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse, and Veteran Peer Services throughout the greater Texas Hill Country Region. Hill Country MHDD Centers is designated to be the Mental Health Authority by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority by the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) for a 19 County Service Area including: Bandera, Blanco, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, Schleicher, Sutton, Uvalde and Val Verde Counties. Job Title: Office Coordinator - Service Coordination

Position Summary:

The Office Coordinator (OC) is under the direct supervision of the Supervisor for Service Coordination. The OC is responsible for supervision of support staff and business functions of the Service Coordination Office, San Marcos, TX. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring the smooth operation of the business functions of the office, timekeeping, Petty Cash Custodian, purchasing, safety officer duties, vehicle coordination duties, answering the telephone, relaying messages, physical coverage of reception area, assisting with consumer appointments, coordinating incoming/outgoing correspondence, data entry various typing assignments, filing, maintenance of consumer master records, Vendor logs, Wal-Mart/HEB logs, Voyager Logs, medical records requests, coordinating consumer paperwork, coordinating incoming/outgoing faxes, and finalizing travel vouchers. The Office Coordinator works in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and requires ability to multi-task.

  • Attends work regularly in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.

  • Job description may be changed to reflect job updates and requirements.
  • Maintains compliance with Hill Country’s training requirements (i.e. – CPR, First Aid, etc.)
Position Requirements

Academic / Work Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One to Two years' administrative/clerical experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Speaking
  • Experience working in a medical setting

Required Certificates / Licensure

  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Current Automobile Insurace
