At Visiting Nurse, we do require our team to be part of the solution to the spread of COVID-19. We require our staff to be COVID vaccinated, to include the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the time of hire and be fully vaccinated within 30 days of their hire date or in accordance with the timelines established by the vaccine's manufacturer. For newly hired team members seeking either a medical or religious exemption from the vaccine requirement, they must submit a request which must be approved prior to their hire date.

Description

Responsible for the daily management of the Intake Department and supervision of the Admissions Coordinators. The Manager ensures all incoming referrals are processed and sent to be scheduled within VN timelines. The Manager ensures all referrals are complete and meet regulatory and payer requirements. The Manager will coordinate the referral with the Business Development team, referral source and the branches to ensure a smooth, safe transition for each patient. Addresses barriers in the referral/intake process such that the referral is not delayed. Evaluates department metrics and holds team accountable for achieving targets. Ensures the department is delivering the highest level of customer care.

Position Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Licensure/Certifications: Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing strongly preferred. Must have current and valid CPR certification.

Previous Experience: Three to five years of home health nursing experience in a supervisory or management role in health care.

Knowledge/Training: Demonstrates knowledge of MC and MA eligibility and coverage requirements, as well as insurance payers. Knowledgeable regarding OASIS requirements, diagnosis/coding of patient care. Ability to educate team members and assist in problem-solving.

Skills: Excellent customer service skills, oral and written communication skills required. Demonstrates ability to appropriately resolve problems and critically think. Typing skills and proficiency in the use of a computer and ability to master in-house computer systems.

Computer Skills: Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop or laptop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.

Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
