Description

Summary
Coordinate management and distribution of funds for early childhood professionals for quality improvement, training, and professional development within the service delivery area. Provide technical assistance to early childcare and education providers. Assists parents/guardians and families with child care consumer education and referrals.

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinate the Quality Improvement Fund Programs.
  • Develop and distribute all quality improvement funds information and applications in accordance with Illinois Department of Human Services guidelines.
  • Serve as contact for information related to quality improvement funds, including technical assistance to early childcare and education providers.
  • Promote quality improvement funds throughout the SDA both in-person and through management of online website and social media content.
  • Responsible for distribution of quality improvement funds in accordance with guidelines set by the Illinois Department of Human Services, Child Care Resource & Referral of Midwestern Illinois, and SAL Family & Community Services.
  • Manage all grant documentation, ensuring documentation is complete and up-to-date in accordance with guidelines.
  • Monitor quality improvement funds budget and spending.
  • Compile statistics required by Illinois Department of Human Services and prepare reports as required and requested.
  • Collect and enter data on state website as related to quality improvement funds activities.
  • Conduct intakes of parents/guardians/families seeking child care education and referrals for care in-person and by phone.
  • Collect and enter information on parents/guardians/children in standard and computerized format of statewide CCR&R system.
  • Utilize database system to provide customized child care referrals based on information collected in intake process to determine appropriate child care referrals. Communicate identified referrals for child care and appropriate consumer education information to parents/guardians and families.
  • Maintain up-to-date consumer education information including information on child care options, costs, subsidized care, licensed capacity and quality indicators for distribution to parents/guardians and families via mail/electronic information distribution.
  • Ensure required follow-up contact is made within contract timelines to measure parents'/guardians' success in their children care search and satisfaction with education and referral services.
  • Support data specialist with updates to provider information as needed.
  • Compile statistics required by Illinois Department of Human Services and prepare reports as required and requested.
  • Collect and enter data on state website as related to referral and consumer education activities.
  • Provide training facilitation as needed as part of CORE department team.
