Description

Summary

Work with low income families, child care providers, and the community to determine eligibility for child care payment assistance as contracted by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Some incumbents may not perform all the duties listed while in other cases related duties may also be assigned.   1. Work with low income families to determine eligibility for child care payment assistance.
  2. Provide technical assistance regarding subsidized child care to clients, providers, and the community.
  3. Maintain confidentiality of agency, client, and child care provider information.
  4. Maintain positive rapport with client and child care provider.
  5. Maintain a working knowledge of other social services available to parents and child care providers.
  6. Process IDHS and Child Care Resource and Referral reports.
  7. Maintain assigned caseload of subsidized child care services for both parents and child care providers as contracted by IDHS.
  8. Verify client and child care provider eligibility in assigned caseload.
  9. Process applications, approvals, cancellations, denials and redeterminations.
  10. Authorize child care payments for child care providers.
  11. Maintain complete and accurate records on computerized database system within assigned caseload.
  12. Learn and Master IDHS Statewide Childcare Management systems (CCMS)
  13. Complete 15 hours of professional development training annually
  14. Perform related duties as required.
