SUMMARY:

Responsible for the reception, retail and Guest restroom area of the club house. Responsible for preparation of food, in compliance with specifications and standards of policies and procedures of venue. Includes the greeting of all guests, answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding golf services and products, booking all tee times, checking guests into the computer system, charging for services performed, selling food, beverages, and selling retail. Responsible for bank deposits, security access to buildings and system, and opening and closing of clubhouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

Assist guests with the reservations and check-in process in a courteous and polite manner.

Accurately book, change, and cancel tee times.

Assist guests with payment of services and retail in an efficient and timely manner.

Maintain a fully stocked retail inventory to ensure a high level of guest service is achieved.

Works with the other departments to ensure a high level of guest service.

Provide accurate and detailed descriptions of golf packages, services, facility features, casino information and hours of operation.

Maintains a working knowledge of the Company's property, as well as special events on and near property, in order to advise guest of the same, whenever possible.

Answer the phone promptly and use the guest's name throughout the phone conversation.

Actively promote Grand National golf course as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.

Responds to guest requests, complaints or inquiries professionally, courteously and promptly.

Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.

Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, fully stocked and well organized work area in full accordance with state health regulations.

Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked restroom/locker room.

Prepares shift cash report, balancing payments and disbursements with computer total, preparing the drop envelope for shift end, and balancing of accounts.

Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.

Assist in all areas of the Golf course operations as requested by management.

Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the club house or golf course that require attention.

Responsible for reporting any problems or issues between individuals or groups of individuals to the Golf Director or Associate Director.

Responsible for the ensuring all delays are rectified and scheduled tee times are on track.

Monitor Guest's needs on a continual basis ensuring all beverage requests will be promptly fulfilled.

Advise Guest of waiting time and condiment area to the Guests.

Responsible for preparing food orders in a timely manner according to the established procedures.

Follow all recipe and control procedures.

Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.

Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and in the absence of Director of Golf or Associate Director, will be responsible for successful daily operations of the golf clubhouse.

Ability to remain at assigned post for extended periods of time.

Properly open and close each shift according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Ensures that the check-in and payment process is handled in accordance with company policy by processing cash, credit card and credit transactions accurately thus protecting the company's assets.

Responsible for picking up banks and making deposits, keys for the clubhouse and other buildings, signing keys in and out and maintain Key Log, access to codes for security system and security alarm, opening and full lock up of the clubhouse.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

One (1) year experience in hospitality or as a golfer or caddy preferred.

One (1) year of restaurant experience preferred.

One (1) year of supervisory experience in a hospitality or golf field required.

Serv-Safe Certification preferred.

Alcohol Awareness Certification preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent communication skills.

Must be able to demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, positive demeanor in stressful situations, and attention to detail at all times.

Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task.

Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority.

Must possess basic math and money handling skills.

Excellent communication, listening and computer skills.

Mille Lacs Band/American Indian Preference will be applied in the hiring process.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to comprehend instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.

Must be able to listen and willing to ask questions.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals.

REASONING ABILITIES:

Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to a variety of situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:

Talk and hear.

See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.

Stand, walk run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.

Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.

Lift, pull, push and carry linen, products, equipment and other items weighing in excess of fifty (50) pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:

Low-to-moderate noise level (offices).

A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).

Second-hand cigarette/cigar smoke.
