The Project Manager works as part of the Product Development Team on ideation, conceptualization, technical development, and launching of Company innovation products and features, while aligned with strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works as part of the Product Development Team on the ideation/conceptualization, technical development, and launch of company innovative products and features.
  • Interfaces with various departments, stakeholders, and 3rd party contacts to ensure that all products in the pipeline meet design, manufacturing, and product launching timelines.
  • Evaluates, analysis, and make recommendations on products, designs, functionality, and cost improvements to improve competitive position of the Company.
  • Researches, develops, designs, and tests electronic components, products, and systems.
  • Analyzes major competitive strategies, including products, features, and pricing.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements product schedules to meet forecasts.
  • Oversees product quality and development support functions.
  • Provides information to management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, product life-cycle documentation, roadmaps, and other related reports.
  • Defines and analyzes key metrics to inform decision-making and measure success.
  • Determines product pricing and positioning strategies by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, costing special and customized orders.
  • Manages closely daily workflow with team of engineers and designers locally and oversees to deliver with quick time-to-market optimal resources.
  • Manages self-accountability within own managed projects (house/OEM)- supported by SOPs.
  • Works alongside quality control team to develop products of intended appropriate quality.
  • Acts in the capacity of trusted product resource for what drives business growth growth/acceleration.
  • Maintains a high level of quality awareness and product understanding.
  • Evaluates promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that message is effectively conveyed.
  • Travels as needed to Trade Shows via personal vehicle, via airlines, and public transportation. Represents the Company at Trade Show functions.
 
Position Requirements

SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge of video game industry with experience in developing today's leading retro and current generation video game consoles, controllers, and other gaming accessories.
  • Ability to understand and synthesize complex requirements and turn them into a prioritized roadmap with clear and realistic objectives.
  • Highly effective judgment, interpersonal, persuasion, and presentation skills.
  • Ability To work with third-party vendors on new technologies.
  • Ability to conceptualize, manage and prioritize multiple projects for stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop products and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations and presentations to executive management.
  • Detailed oriented with exceptional organization and planning skills, and passion for optimizing systems and processes.
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Adobe Creative Suite, Project Management software, Chat Messengers, and internal applications, systems & controls).
  • 3D Modeling Experience/Skills is a PLUS.
  • Effective problem assessment and resolution skills, and to work under pressure with deadlines and cut-off dates.
  • Ability to complete required tasks within allotted time frames and cut-off dates.
  • Willingness to work whatever hours are necessary for the satisfactory completion of a job/project.
  • Ability to travel by vehicle, airline, or public transportation to Trade Shows, and to maintain a valid CA Driver’s License when using personal vehicle to conduct work-related business.

SELECTION GUIDELINES

  • BA/BS Degree in technical discipline: computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, physical science, economics, marketing, finance, business, or other similar courses.
  • 2-5 years of experience in product management, project management, product design, product development or related fields, with recent and relevant experience working with approved testing labs for product compliance and a clear understanding of product requirements for item categories.
  • Product development exposure on consumer electronic products, gaming products/accessories or toys - A BIG PLUS!
  • Previous successful experience in conceptualization, developing, iterating, manufacturing, and launching products; or
  • Any combination of experience, college education, or training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and ability required for the job.
