Coordinator, Relocation  


The RELOCATION COORDINATOR consults with customers and coordinates with sales representatives and the operations department to ensure superior customer relocations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Solicits sale of new/or additional services;

  • Receive orders from contact person at national account and coordinates the move with the shipper;

  • Coordinate move with other Atlas Agents;

  • Mail information packet to shipper and or accounts electronically;

  • Consult with account and shipper on any questionable items or service to be moved or performed;

  • Assists in facilitating claims process should damage occur by forwarding to appropriate department;

  • Coordinate dates with local and long distance dispatch, keeping them apprised of any cancellations or date changes;

  • Enters orders into pertinent data base platforms; Move Magic/Atlas Web, and updates shipper files; ;

  • Computes estimates for shipper or account;

  • Coordinates 3rd party services, such as connecting appliances, crating grandfather clocks, shipping vehicles, etc.;

  • Request and review survey information; enter survey result in the appropriate database and account web platforms;

  • Communicate with shipper and account throughout the move; update contact at account as necessary; ;

  • Address concerns/complaints in regards to billing or service rendered, Escalate any failure in service to appropriate departments for review and action if required;;

  • Other duties may be assigned.


  • Computer skills essential (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle high volume workload and excellent follow-up procedures
  • Ability to ensure that critical tasks are completed in timely fashion

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One year certificate from college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to compose and prepare correspondence; ability to effectively present information to small groups; to one-on-one situations; to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


SCREENING CRITERIA: Background checks are mandatory for certain company positions, including, but not limited to those positions involving participation in or work performed for Atlas Van Lines and/or Atlas World Group and Record Retention services and requires all individuals pass based on criteria parameters established.
