Sr. Software Tester 

Description
  • Develop various software and web application test documentation and take direction from management.
  • Perform unit, functional, system, integration, and user case testing.
  • Develop test plans in accordance with IAW Govt/DoD/DoN policies, etc.
  • Use the selected defect tracking and test case management systems to document test sets, record defects, and record test case execution results.
  • Work with the software development team to troubleshoot and remediate issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Analyze and understand each project's environment, architecture, and interdependencies to determine and apply appropriate test methodologies and cases relative to applications being tested.
  • Investigate alternatives and technologies to improve test coverage and test automation.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Have strong problem solving, debugging/troubleshooting, and negotiating skills.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years of relevant software testing experience. A relevant certification and four (4) years of related software testing experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • An active DoD secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Required to satisfy DoD 8570 IAWF Requirements by obtaining the Security+ certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience with using test automation tools, techniques and frameworks - Hewlett Packard Unified Functional Testing (HP UFT), Selenium a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment and/or a solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies a plus.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Visual Basic (VBscript) and/or programming languages such as Java, C#, Apache, etc. a plus.
