Field Service Technican – Pittston, PA & USA Client Locations

PULSE Integration, a WEPCO company, is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to play an integral role for its fast growing and award winning team! The new Field Service Technician will participate in the installation and commissioning of PULSE Integration projects at client locations throughout the United States. This is a newly created position, so we are looking for a true professional to provide excellent and consistent customer service to all internal stakeholders across all functions and geographic locations. The Field Service Technician will work on a combination of regional and national accounts, but be based in the Pittston / Scranton area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform all Customer Support Duties and Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
  2. Manage, and in some cases, perform scheduled preventive maintenance services
  3. Provide on-demand corrective, 24/7 emergency, and paid services
  4. Participate in the installation and commissioning PULSE Integration projects as assigned
  5. Coordinate and participate in start-up services to ensure smooth transitions from project to service teams.
  6. Train clients on system and light maintenance operations
  7. Promote parts orders, provide recommended parts lists to clients and recommend inventory stocking levels to customers as required
  8. Conduct periodic client visits to monitor product performance and client satisfaction
  9. Maintain inventory of required spare parts
  10. Assist clients with parts orders, consumables, repair and return of defective parts, warranty services and requests for information pertaining to their systems
  11. Always maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
  12. Adhere to and strictly enforce all safety policies and procedures
  13. Attend required training programs
  14. Must be willing and able to travel to client sites and occasionally work on holidays and weekends
  15. Must be capable of working effectively from home when not on a client site

Position Requirements

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  1. 2-5 years experience in at least three of the following areas:
  2. Software Development, preferably logistics related
  3. Controls Development, preferably on conveyor or similar equipment
  4. AMR, AGV, SDV installation, configuration and service
  5. Mechanical installation and integration, preferably on high automation projects
  6. Client service and troubleshooting
  7. Facilities management
  8. Parts management
  9. Project Management
  10. Leader of others
  11. Vocational school, related military experience, or job experience equivalent
  12. Clear and effective communication style that builds client's trust and satisfaction
  13. Ability to read blue prints, schematics and wiring diagrams to extract necessary technical information
  14. Exceptional interpersonal skills (client service skills) and communication skills
  15. PC Computer software and hardware literate
  16. Basic computer networking skills
  17. Must be a self-starter, well organized, and be able to work independently without supervision

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Work may require lifting and delivering packages, boxes and supplies on an intermittent basis, weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Work requires correctable vision, ability to identify and distinguish colors, depth perception, eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Mental activities involve concentrated and extremely demanding attention.
  • Ability to hear and speak English language clearly and concisely.
  • Involves frequent contact with employees and the management team.
  • Work involves frequent change in activities and priorities.
  • After business hours and weekend work as needed to properly manage projects and workload.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 30 to 70% with the remaining time working effectively from home
  • Ability and willingness to work on-call hours including weekend, night, and/or holiday work
  • Ability and willingness to lift, lower and carry objects up to 50 lbs., work from heights, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
