This primarily consists, but is not limited to, operating and understanding all systems in the uranium processing plant (Ion Exchange, Elution, Precipitation, Filtration, Drying, Packaging, Water Treatment / Disposal, and Reagents). Maintain safe and efficient processing of production fluids into dried yellowcake Maintain compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements Compile process data for analysis and determine trends in processes; utilize process data for use in preparation of daily and monthly production and compliance reports Schedule and manage work crews Provide budgets for operations activities; specify and purchase process materials and equipment Review automation and instrumentation systems and data to optimize plant operations Anticipate and identify operational issues before they develop into problems; work with staff to troubleshoot and correct operational upsets or problems Diagnose fluid transfer, filtration, and treatment problems as they relate to plant operations. Develop and maintain chemical systems and evaluate chemical processes to optimize production. Evaluate and optimize PIDs and flow sheets. Work with other departments/staff as necessary to achieve production and operational goals. Other duties as assigned. Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Hydrometallurgy, or like degree Critical thinking Strong communication skills (oral and written) Strong math skills related to chemistry and process operations Experience, understanding and following regulations and procedures Strong planning, organizational and follow up skills Comprehension of safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, management, and department head staff and various agency personnel Safety practices and policy: The employee must be knowledgeable about and comply with the Company's safety policies and procedures.
