HR Generalist: Payroll & Benefits

Visual Pak's Corporate HR Team is evolving as a result of internal promotions. There is now room to add a talented Payroll/Benefits superstar . You will need to have solid experience with payroll and benefit transactions for multiple businesses of 500 people or more. Your already developed payroll competency and benefit plan administration abilities will be further advanced as we seek strategic and critical solutions to reduce our paper-footprint while enhancing technology integration. This includes influencing the worker population and management to embrace self-service. If you truly like being in the middle of all kinds of payroll/benefit transactions including data problem solving, payroll audits, time and attendance oversight, technology implementation and enhancement, people interaction, and process improvement (to name a few things that occur every day), then our opening may be a fit for you. This is a 'working' position with high visibility, volume tasks and repetitive responsibilities.

Position Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Topic certification with associated work experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • Must have expectional proficiency with full cycle payroll for multiple FEINs and in multiple intervals (weekly/biweekly).
  • Must have comprehensive working experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Exceptional levels of
    • details and accuracy
    • urgency and responsiveness
    • ethics and confidentiality
  • Payroll law and regulations knowledge and application required.
  • Organized so as to meet (exceed) due dates, maintain information in various places, and respond to inquiries timely and correctly.
  • Proficient in negotiating and conflict mediation particularly with transaction concerns and employee misunderstandings of rules.
  • Able to gather meaningful data, analyze the data and present reasoned outcome.
  • Resourceful and cost effective actions.
  • Capable to work under pressure on a regular basis.
  • Strong ability to problem solve and judge situations
  • Must be a team player who fosters partnerships in cross functional activities and projects.

Technology/Software:

  • Excellent working ability with MS Office; particularly comfortable with Excel.
  • Competency with HRIS software and multi-platform data sharing: Ascenits HRIS highly preferred.
  • Comprehensive experience with time and attendance and associated systems, including reporting and integration with payroll software (i.e. Novatime)..

Communication:

  • Outstanding written, oral, interpersonal, and outward behavior communication ability.
  • Knows how to listen, accepts feedback with poise and make self-correction as means for self-development and growth.
  • Demonstrated talent for understanding your audience and how to communicate your message effectively to them.
  • Comfortable in uncomfortable situations such as negotiation, unfavorable outcome of effort discussion, urgent and alarmist work volume, and other generally heightened situations.
