BIM Specialist 

About the Organization Celebrating 70 years of business, Swanson Rink specializes in mechanical and electrical engineering for mission critical data centers, airports and corporate clients. Our firm partners with our clients to provide a high level of technical engineering and client service. We are looking for employees to help us continue our legacy for the next 70 years.  

The BIM Specialist position is linked to a specific market segment within the company allowing this position to work with a team of engineers, clients and subconsultants on similar project types. The BIM Specialist is responsible for communicating the specific requirements of each client and project to BIM staff assigned to each specific project. They are also the liason between the Swanson Rink team and external consultants and team members. Specific duties include the following:

  • Acts as liaison to CAD/Revit production staff including, answering questions on model/parameters/families, troubleshooting view templates, and visibility graphics.
  • Acts as Quality Control and Quality Assurance for the BIM standards of the project.
  • Assists design team members in developing project BIM Execution Plan

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of five years of experience utilizing Revit

  • Knowledge of Engineering drafting standards for mechanical and electrical engineering.

  • High level of proficiency with both Revit and AutoCAD

  • Must be a good communicator, team player and have excellent organization and coordination skills
