Share Email Opening Title Senior Professional Transportation Engineer, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)  Description Alliant Engineering, Inc., is seeking a Senior Professional Transportation Engineer with significate experience developing construction staging and maintenance of traffic plans (MOT) to join our transportation team in our Minneapolis, Minnesota office. You will work in conjunction with the Project Managers, peer Engineers and CADD team members to coordinate the MOT design with other project disciplines to meet project deadlines for projects throughout Minnesota and other regions as needed. As a self-motivated engineer, you will lead the MOT management and design effort on large, complex Design-Build and traditionally delivered highway-heavy projects on a local, regional, and national basis. Lead a cohesive project team that develops construction staging and MOT plans on large traditional or alternative delivery projects Utilize your roadway design experience to direct the development of temporary roadway plans, including roadway models, alignments, profiles, geometrics and drainage. Direct the development of traffic control plans, including temporary signing, striping and safety devices. Work with contractors and owners to develop innovative approaches to construction staging. Lead junior staff and promote the growth of their technical skills. Execute a robust Quality Assurance program on all MOT deliverables developed under your oversight Candidates must have a thorough understanding of transportation/traffic engineering principals and construction requirements/methods. Experience with all facets of transportation project design, including roadway modeling, drainage, traffic and utility design is desired. Experience with Design-Build is preferred.
