Share Email Opening Title RESTORE Deconstruction Crew Member and Driver  Number of Openings 1   About the Organization Green Country Habitat for Humanity's Mission Statement: Seeking to put God's love into action, Green Country Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.   Description Key Responsibility The ReStore Deconstruction Crew Member & Driver will support Tulsa Habitat for Humanity through effective management of the ReStore Deconstruction Crew & Truck Driving Operations and will create and maintain positive visibility of Tulsa Habitat for Humanity in the community. The Tulsa Habitat ReStore Deconstruction Crew Member & Driver works as a team to disassemble buildings/residences, inside and out, in order to preserve materials for reuse. This position requires someone who can work with limited oversight, while projecting a professional image in speech and demeanor in their interactions with others in multiple venues and scenarios. Duties Perform a wide variety of deconstruction tasks efficiently, including, but not limited to: sheetrock, electrical components, cabinets, plumbing, locks, carpentry and many other common items found in buildings/residences. May also include landscaping and grounds removal. Ability to hand-deconstruct building structures, including: performing surface and structural salvage, handling recycling and waste materials and preparing and loading salvaged material for hauling. Must be knowledgeable in the use and operations of small power tools. Comply with all safety rules, standards and regulations. Be able to lift 50-75 lbs. or more frequently. Be able to stand, stoop, kneel, climb and pull on a frequent basis. Drive the truck to the work site. Help to load items at the work site in a safe and courteous fashion. Assist in unloading truck at ReStore, following back dock guidelines. Help clean and move priced items to the showroom floor, as needed. Assist in other areas within the ReStore, as requested. Assist in keeping trucks well maintained and clean & perform minor repairs, as needed. Ensure the licenses and other required information are maintained properly for government bodies and others as appropriate, and all state, and Federal laws are followed at all times. Completes daily and weekly vehicle safety check-lists. Submits all requested scheduling and trucking documentation timely. Follows all Safety and reporting guidelines as outlined by ReStore Manager.     Position Requirements Required Experience/Education High School Diploma or GED 1-2 years' experience in remodeling, deconstruction and/or construction and/or driving/moving Valid driver's license and good driving record for pre-employment and on-going employment Ability to meet all state mandated requirements in order to successfully obtain & maintain an Oklahoma Department of Transportation Medical Card, including passing a physical exam by a certified physician, for pre-employment and for on-going employment Clear Motor Vehicle Record for pre-employment and on-going employment Familiarity with towns, communities and areas in and around Metro Tulsa Ability to consistently lift and move 50-75 pounds Reasonable familiarity with building materials Excellent communication skills & the ability to relate well to a diverse group of individuals   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Compensation Compensation depends upon experience.   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
