Share Email Opening Title SSC Acquisition  Description The Columbia Group (TCG), a technical services support company which has a successful 50+ year history of providing the United States Military with acquisition, logistics management, engineering, design, fabrication, test and evaluation, information technology and financial management support services is seeking a SSC Acquisition Specialist to provide support related to acquisition management, configuration and data management, and assist in post-delivery requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Include: Assist the CM/DM manager by supporting hardware and software physical configuration audits (PCA) at the software integration lab (SIL) and at Textron Review B038 and B039 HW and SW drawings in support of PCAs Support monthly Configuration Control Boards and weekly Configuration Management meetings Participate in risk management reviews and assist in risk management efforts associated with post-delivery and configuration management Support discussions with Boston Planning Yard team on post-delivery efforts Researches basic acquisition issues and provides a recommended course of action Prepare MS PowerPoint slides for briefs Supports SSC QAR/QPR meetings Serve as a liaison between 4-Div and K-div Assist in the compilation/preparation of WFCs, ECPs/PECPs, CRs for reviewers Assist in tracking Engineering Orders affecting Construction Drawings for CM Manager Assist in updating LCAC 100 Product drawings and links EO to the affected drawing(s) Support weekly meetings with the Ship Design Manager, 4-Div, SSGC, and K-div Assist in the technical validation of trial card management, both Government and contractor trial cards Perform a validation of technical issues that will develop into Engineering Changes; determine point of incorporate and budget impacts Assist the Post Delivery manager with the compilation of and the management of work packages to include trial cards, additional work items, possible ECPs, etc. Assist in the review and preparation of statutory and regulatory acquisition documentation associated with Full Rate Production Support Business Planning Process and review Task Planning Sheets Conducts other ad hoc duties, as assigned   Position Requirements Position Requirements: Related Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year experience in a DoD or Navy acquisition professional services support role. (Education and work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience) Candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities and have strong customer service skills. Candidate must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
