Paychex of New York LLC seeks a full time Release Solutions Lead at our offices located at 220 Kenneth Drive, Henrietta, NY 14623. Job Description: Release Solutions Lead – Duties include: - Define policies and standards to improve efficiency of the release process, including establishing best practices and enforcing standards pertaining to build, delivery, deployment and release;
- Lead engineering teams;
- Work in close partnership with Development, Architecture, and Infrastructure solutions to design and onboard applications;
- Provide guidance and overall accountability for the release and deployment design for new projects and services;
- Prepare and deliver clearly documented release processes and value streams for all project initiatives at the start of projects and assure their delivery throughout the project lifecycle;
- Work with development agile teams to identify areas of improvement for delivery tactics;
- Serve as the single point of contact for the development agile teams to develop the design and identify and coordinate release requirements; and
- Coordinate release to production timeframes with product teams.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, System and Software Development or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience in Experience in a lead role in driving cross-functional engineering teams from analysis through solution and developing junior level staff. Experience with Unix and Windows operating systems. Demonstrated experience in quickly assessing software build, deployment, and release design and usage patterns for improvement opportunity. Demonstrated experience and current working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and general deployment/release practices. .
Position Requirements: Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or closely related field, plus 2 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering solutions. (In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree as described, or equivalent, plus five years of progressive experience as described.) Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include: - 2 years of experience working with Unix and Windows operating systems;
- 2 years of experience assessing software build, deployment, and release design and usage patterns for improvement opportunity;
- 2 years of experience of DevOps, CI/CD and deployment/releases practices.
