Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Development and Communications (Development Director), but operating independently, the Development Coordinator develops and maintains assigned giving programs and community relations activities, to include coordinating giving programs with a strong focus on grant and proposal writing, in addition to coordinating Agency events, volunteer programs, and other projects.

Position Requirements


  1. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a similar position which included grant and proposal writing as a main responsibility.
  2. Minimum of one (1) year of experience managing databases and managing donor database systems.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) with advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, database and reporting tools.


  1. B.A./B.S. Degree or M.A. Degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  2. Nonprofit and/or mental health sector experience and a desire to pursue career in development or non-profit management.
  3. Experience supervising volunteers.
