Assistant Director - Clinical Manager

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director/Clinical Manager is responsible to ensure high quality services and effective daily operations for assigned clinical team comprised of professional clinicians. Duties include clinical supervision and oversight of all treatment planning and implementation, program and resource development and management, personnel management including hiring, evaluation, coaching and training. The Assistant Director/Clinical Manager provides leadership congruent with agency policy, values and mission provides management reports as required, and leads significant program committees or functions as assigned.

Position Requirements



    1. M.A./M.S.W. Degree from an accredited college or university.
    2. Current CA LCSW or MFT license
    3. A minimum of two (2) years post-licensure experience.
    4. A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory/management experience in a clinical setting required, relevant leadership experience may be considered.
    5. The ability to meet able to meet CA Board of Behavioral Services (BBS) supervisor requirements within six (6) months, if supervising staff who are accruing hours toward licensure from the BBS.
    6. A minimum of one (1) year experience in of wraparound, community based, residential, day treatment or another milieu.
    7. Must be certified to conduct a CANS/ANSA assessment within 90 days of employment if the work assignment is in a County program that requires CANS/ANSA certification.
    8. CA Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 10 days after hired and a clean driving record.
    9. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
    10. Demonstrated understanding of the developmental milestones of children or youth to provide to provide care, treatment and services, for applicable programs.
    11. Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model as part of intervention strategy for working with participants in crisis who are responding to triggers/stressors and/or demonstrating early indicators of distress.
    12. Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities.
    13. Must have access to dependable transportation available and personal car insurance, unless using agency vehicle.
