Summary:
This Instructor/Writer supports the Army Logistics University (ALU), Technical Logistics College (TLC) at Fort Lee, VA to provide Professional Military Education for Warrant Officer's Basic/Advance Automotive Maintenance course training, (WOBC/WOAC).
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
Instructor/Writer provides performance-oriented training using the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) approved Program of Instruction (POI). Training provided will be classroom training and/or hands-on performance-oriented training as well as simulation/virtual training.
Required Qualifications:
Have completed the Common Faculty Development - Instructor Course or its equivalent within the last five (5) years or have the ability to complete it and shall complete it at the first available Government scheduled course.
Have completed the TRADOC Initial Military Training (IMT) Installation Staff and Contractors Training Course (ISCTC) or its equivalent within the last three (3) years or have the ability to complete it and shall complete it at the first available Government scheduled course.
Have a minimum of three (3) years each of technical and tactical experience updating software using Maintenance Support Device (MSD) V2, V3, and V4 when available for all track vehicles.
Have a minimum of three (3) years each of technical and tactical experience in the MOS for which they will be performing on this task order.
Be certified in Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and Additional Skills Identifier (ASI) specific technical training, if required (i.e. H8 or H9)r.
Be proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) to ensure the ability to access required training tools.
Have knowledge of applicable regulations and doctrine regarding MOS or ASI-specific training and have superior written and oral communication skills.
Be detail oriented and have excellent organization, planning, coordination and time management skills.
Have effective problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Have the ability to pass the hands-on and written student test and shall pass the hands-on and written student test prior to performing services on this task order in accordance with OD Regulation 350-18.
Meet training, technical and tactical certification of course content of the course they are contracted to deliver.
Be competent in basic mathematical skills up to and including roots and powers and metric notation as evidenced by having a high school diploma or GED.
Possess the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair training equipment.
Be able to perform duties regarding moderate assisted lifting (not to exceed 100 lbs.), long periods of standing, sitting or walking, and endure inclement weather conditions on occasion.
Shall have a minimum of five (5) years in 44B, 44Eor 91E MOS' as evidenced by a certificate in the 44/91 series MOS, as well as NCOERs.
Have experience at the level of SSG or above.
Possess American Welding Society (AWS) and National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certifications or have National Accredited, Union, or previous employer certifications associated with the technical tasks of the courses they are to instruct.
Have minimum of three (3) years' each of technical and tactical experience which includes, but is not limited to, knowledge and hands-on skills in performing various weld applications, thermal cutting, welding Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), various machining applications, bench work, Blueprint Reading, Computer Numeric Control (CNC) lathe, CNC milling machine, 3D Printing, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD)/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) experience.
Have a minimum of three (3) years technical experience which includes, but is not limited to, American Welding Society (AWS) Qualification and Inspection.
Possess, or have possessed an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) qualification.
Desired Qualifications:
Be available in the classroom or instructor's office during the entire teaching day in order to deliver additional or reinforcement training to students as required; except during scheduled meal periods and breaks.
Minimum of three (3) years specific experience in teaching, developing or reviewing course materials, training aids, and manuals for vocational or military training for the specific MOS course being instructed.
