DSP Multi-Site Sub - Mon thru Fri Days - $14.65/hr

About the Organization Phoenix Alternatives, Inc. (PAI) has been a vital part of our community since 1990. We were founded as a 501(c)(3) to serve people with developmental disabilities, maximizing integration into the community while pursuing meaningful, person-centered activities. PAI is a day program offering an array of services and opportunities for adults who want to design a life they love. Also includes assisting with a person's daily living needs and personal care: teaching independence, medication administration, medical support & lunch assistance. The potential for being paid to obtain certification in employment services and/or Autism.

We support individuals with DD and ID with a wide variety of skills and interests. We offer music therapy, animal therapy, crafts, community outings, teaching new skills, visiting museums and parks, volunteering, supported employment and more. PAI is a non-profit licensed day service provider for adults with intellectual disabilities in White Bear Lake and Oakdale. Hours are based on your flexibility, must work a minimum of two shifts per month.

This position is not benefit eligible


Position Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED
  • 21+ years of age
  • Pass OIG and DHS background study and maintain approval to work without constant supervision
  • Punctual and dependable attendance
  • Assist with lifting and transferring
  • Excellent communication, with a track record of being a strong team member
  • Work at 4 sites, 1 to 2 sites per day, mileage between sites 1 to 11 miles
  • Personal or work experience with people with developmental or intellectual disabilities
  • Day service program or residential experience with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorders
  • Prefer applicants experience with developing coping skills and/or medical support
  • Reliable transportation for work driving purposes, valid driver’s license and proof of valid auto insurance
Preferred Requirements: Current 1st Aid, CPR, med certificate a plus! Or we will provide training
