We are currently seeking a Software Developer for an opportunity located in Herndon, VA. This role will support complex project teams during the implementation of Meridian’s learning management system (LMS) and eLearning solutions for our public sector client.


Experienced in developing applications for cloud-based development with considerable knowledge of life-cycle processes for the design, development and testing of application and web-related software. Considerable knowledge and ability to program proficiently in the application(s) and database programming language(s) relevant to the project. Ability to translate user requirements into end-to-end design for the Meridian application and databases that may involve multiple interfaces to other applications or supporting database systems. Ability to explain protocols, technical procedures and processes clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to plan, set goals and determine strategies for accomplishing results; monitors and evaluates progress toward goals. Ability to write clear, concise and effective requirements documents, correspondence, procedures and reports.

Position Requirements


Preferably, the ideal candidate, will bring prior knowledge and experience working with following software / development languages; the Meridian Application is with C# and is installed on a Windows server using SQL Server for DB. MKSL API can be SOAP or RESTful API based. Familiarity with Agency/IC security accreditation concepts, policies and procedures is desired, but not required.

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance desired but may consider TS at minimum with eligibility to get SCI
  • Solid understanding of architecture of web applications, integration architecture, object-oriented design and relational database design
  • Ability to develop database driven web-based applications using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript AJAX, JSON, JQuery, LINQ
  • Experience creating and consuming web services (SOAP/WSDL, REST, Web API), WCF, XML/XSL/XSD, X/HTML
  • Experience with Microsoft TFS or another source control platform, Continuous Integration & Build Server
  • Experience in development role for federal and/or commercial clients
  • Experience with large-scale web/SaaS applications with web services

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelors in a related field

This job operates in an office setting which incurs moderate noise consistent with a business office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical attributes are required, for instance, manual dexterity/typing, read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation, the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as well as, ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
