The Systems Administrator is a new role in the support model. In the current model the responsibilities herein are being handled by the Sr. Voice Engineer. Under direction from the ITS DCIO or designee, this resource would have three primary responsibilities: First is to maintain and upgrade systems supporting the Voice Applications; Second is maintain and upgrade systems supporting the test/dev environment; Third is to provide escalation support to the desktop support technicians and voice engineers.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage, maintain and administer patches, firmware updates, and other upgrades related to Microsoft Windows, VMWare, server hardware including Cisco UCS servers, and storage related hardware in both the production and test/dev environments.
Contribute to the creation and execution of change tickets associated with Patch Management, and Release Management alongside the IC Managed Services team.
Coordinate with Sr. Voice Engineer to manage Voice Application availability during maintenance windows.
Provide escalation support for desktop support technicians around contact center desktop applications.
Provide escalation support for voice engineers around contact center server applications and interfaces.
