Dassault Falcon Jet one of the most sought after brands in business aviation has an opportunity for a Technical Specialist for the Falcon 6X. Summary of Duties The Falcon 6X Technical Specialist provides a unique opportunity to support a new product line, the Falcon 6X, during its flight testing in Istres, France, and through its entry into service in Teterboro, USA. The role is comprised of three key areas of responsibility: System Specialist - PRESENT to Q2 2020 (Teterboro, USA) The System Specialist provides systems specific support for all model Falcon aircraft to the command center, field service representatives, service centers, vendors, repair agents and/or customers in regards to troubleshooting, technical concerns and questions. Additionally, the System Specialist will deliver information to customers through letters, articles and presentations (seminars, customer meeting etc.) while also collaborating actively with coworkers and all customer service departments including Dassault Aviation. The System Specialist will provide on-site customer assistance as required. Additionally, the Systems Specialist will: - Act as a focal point for all DFJ departments providing input on technical issues related to systems support;
- Interact with W/H vendors and repair agents as necessary to support the Dassault Aviation teams as they move technical issues through the product support agenda process;
- Review documentation for technical accuracy, spelling, grammar, and readability prior to customer release;
- Write letters to customers, reports, technical syntheses and executive summaries upon request;
- Validate service bulletins and maintenance procedures with W/H customers and/or DAS facilities on behalf of Dassault Aviation;
- Collaborate actively with coworkers within DFJ Engineering Support and Dassault Aviation;
- Support the DFJ model specialist as required for system based issues;
6X Test Flight Technical Analyst: Q2 2020 to 6X Entry into Service in 2022 (Istres or Merignac, France) - Development of flight test measurements instrumentation installations.
- Verification of the quality and representativeness of acquired parameters.
- Analysis of the behavior and operation of the platform and the different aircraft systems in the qualitative sense and performance.
- Check the data and analyze it in order to contribute to the development, qualification and certification of the 6X
- Provide the synthesis of the results and proposals of solutions.
- Conduct of technical studies (design and improvement of flight tests instrumentation installations).
6X Technical Specialist: 3 Years Post Entry into Service of 6X (Teterboro, USA) - Provide technical support for Falcon 6X systems to the command center, field service representatives, service centers, vendors, repair agents and/or customers in regards to troubleshooting, technical concerns and questions;
- Deliver information to customers through letters, articles and presentations (seminars, customer meetings…);
- Collaborate actively with coworkers and all customer service departments including Dassault Aviation;
- Provide on-site customer assistance as required;
- Act as a focal point for all DFJ departments providing input on technical issues related to systems support;
- Attend and/or prepare regular meetings as necessary;
- Review documentation for technical accuracy, spelling, grammar, and readability prior to customer release;
- Develop and deliver presentations at customer meetings and company seminars;
- Validate service bulletins and maintenance procedures with W/H customers and/or DAS facilities on behalf of Dassault Aviation;
- Provide training to Frontline and Level II teams for of Falcon 6X systems
Qualifications: - BS Degree with emphasis on aviation industry;
- Four years of experience in technical aspects of aircraft support or system design;
- Must be a French citizen
Skills And Abilities: - General Aeronautical Knowledge: structural, flutter, vibrations, acoustics, engines, aircraft performance, flight qualities.
- General Aircraft Systems Knowledge: autopilot, pressurization, anti-icing, fuel, hydraulics, electrical, braking
- Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex flight data downloaded from aircraft computers
- Ability to find solutions and/or alternatives/workaround in the best interest of the customers and company;
- Must be fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Must be fluent in French with strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Multitasking and priority management skills;
- Good presentation skills;
- Interpersonal skills: must be a team player with a cooperative and helpful nature;
- Strong computer skills and proficient in using Microsoft Office programs.
Additional Desired Qualifications: - Experience with Falcon aircraft;
- Experience in Customer Support;
- Knowledge of FAA & EASA regulations;
- Experience in system/component failure analysis and/or aircraft system maintainability and reliability analysis;
Physical Demands and Working Environment When in Teterboro USA: - Typical climate controlled office environment including a cubicle (workstation), phone, and computer.
- Domestic and international travel is required when necessary to accomplish the responsibilities of the job (approximately 5-10% travel).
When in France: - Position will require availability and flexibility for travel between Istres and Merignac France.
