Interactive Government Holdings (IGH) is seeking qualified, trained and capable individual to serve as a Quality Assurance Engineer III for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, DC. The Quality Assurance Engineer will perform duties outlined in the mission statement below in support of Systems Development for HUD.

Mission

Verifies that applications are fully tested before production release, and that they conform to user requirements and established guidelines.

 
Position Requirements

Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive):

  • Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently
  • Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and the Software Development Procedures used
  • Writes documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction
  • Designs and implements policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production
  • Reviews new or modified program, including documentation, diagram, and flow chart, to determine if program will perform according to user request and according to guidelines
  • Monitors program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation
  • Writes and maintains test plan, test cases, test scripts
  • Executes test cases, test scripts in order to test the program for validity of results. accuracy, reliability, and conformance to established standards
  • Provide relevant job related content in support of proposal efforts as required

Qualified Candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in QA practices or in related field

Other competencies, Experience & Knowledge:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to plan
  • Creative and independent problem solver
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques
  • Ability to write a test case and defects
  • Ability to use current testing tools, such as Quality Center and Test Director
  • Maintains current knowledge in latest software development methodologies

This position is authorized telework with minimal travel required.
