Our Team:

The Nutranext E-Commerce team is in search of a seasoned Front-end Engineer. We're looking for an engineer that loves to solve problems, is comfortable with uncertainty and be unafraid to make mistakes. You should have a strong passion for building great experiences, and then figuring out how to make it even better. You love to get your hands dirty, but see things at a higher level.

What you will be doing:

As a Front-end Engineer, you will be driving architecture and building front-ends that scale. You'll work alongside Product in brainstorming ideas, defining, scoping and planning work. You'll have an opportunity to mentor and help grow engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing technology team. You'll be empowered to implement processes and standards. You'll be involved in the discussions as we determine the best tech. stack moving forward, and the implementation of that stack. What you bring to the team:

  • Strong experience when it comes to architecture and building scalable, reusable code
  • Strong experience when it comes to best practices for page load / speed, caching, usage of CDNs, excellent understanding of browser security and performance
  • Ability to establish, reinforce, and periodically evaluate coding standards and code quality
  • Excellent understanding of Javascript as a language, and it's ecosystem, especially as it relates to front-end development. This includes ES6 and modern frameworks, we're using React
  • Proficient in HTML and CSS with knowledge of web standards, advanced layouts, accessibility, cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
  • Proficient in modern web trends such as single page applications and progressive web applications
  • Comfortable with build tools (webpack, yarn/npm, gulp), template languages, and pre-processors
  • Experience with Javascript testing using tools such as Jest/Mocha/Enzyme
  • Experience with STOMP, we use RabbitMQ
  • An understanding of HTTP and RESTful API design
  • An understanding of technical SEO, A/B testing and UI/UX

Preferred Experience and Education:

Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience

Min. 5 years of experience as a Front-end Engineer

Prior experience with E-Commerce, preferably at a high growth company focused on scale
