What are we looking for in an Accountant?

This position serves as the general accountant for Comprehensive Healthcare, and is responsible for all posting and reconciliation in our various agency accounts. The Accountant oversees day-to-day accounting functions, maintains the general ledger, prepares reports, and assists the rest of the Finance department with accounting functions as needed. This position is best suited to someone who has prior experience with accounting in a healthcare setting, is able to work independently, and can maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry and accounting calculations.

Accountant duties may include:

  • maintaining daily cash in the ledger and preparing deposits
  • posting and reconciling monthly fixed assets & client rent payments
  • making accounting entries and verifying accuracy of calculations, including those for B&O taxes and prepaid accounts
  • maintaining accounting for Comprehensive Foundation and providing backup for HUD property accounting
  • compiling and filing census, payroll, and other reports
  • researching, tracking, and resolving accounting issues
  • assisting other Finance team members with accounting functions as needed
 
Position Requirements

Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, or two years of related accounting experience in a healthcare setting
