About the Organization Hill Country Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Centers is a unit of local government and a not-for-profit, 501C provider of Mental Health and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse, and Veteran Peer Services throughout the greater Texas Hill Country Region. Hill Country MHDD Centers is designated to be the Mental Health Authority by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority by the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) for a 19 County Service Area including: Bandera, Blanco, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, Schleicher, Sutton, Uvalde and Val Verde Counties. Job Title: Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) - Team Lead

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

The MCOT Team Leader is responsible for providing highly responsive crisis services on a 24 hour on-call basis. This position is the Team Lead and supervises all MCOT staff, Team Lead works closely with MH clinic staff, law enforcement, community organizations, school districts and the general public. Delivery of services will be based on the needs of the community and individuals in need of crisis services. This position is responsible for intake assessments and diagnosis of individuals receiving crisis services from the agency. This position is also responsible for providing crisis counseling to individuals receiving crisis services and other duties as assigned by Clinic Director.

    Position Requirements

    Experience Requirements:

    • Master’s Degree; Current valid license as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD or PsyD.
    • Three (3) years of experience providing counseling, intake or psychiatric rehabilitation services.
    • Computer Proficient.
    • Applicant must meet QMHP guidelines and credentialed as an LPHA.
    • Reside within 30 miles of clinic with reliable transportation and must be able to meet QMHP guidelines.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
    • Previous experience in providing crisis services in the community.

    Academic Requirement:

    • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social, psychology, behavioral or human services, current licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD or PsyD.
