Job Descriptions:

The Manager of Self-Management Program (SMPE) Engagement will provide leadership, coaching and guidance to their assigned team of MOBE Guides. The Manager is responsible for the effective execution of the Self-Management Program in accordance with organizational and departmental policies/procedures in order to ensure optimal Participant interactions and retention in the program. The Manager will work with Engagement Leadership to ensure that the Guides are working effectively and efficiently, and following program guidelines and protocol. This role will also work closely with the MOBE Outreach Engagement and Guide Support teams to ensure that the needs of our Participants are being met.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, innovation-driven individual having strong interpersonal skills, is detail - oriented and has experience in managing the operations of more than 10 employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day operational leadership and development of their assigned Guides
  • Regular coaching and audits to ensure Guides are executing on the Self-Management Program Model as designed. This includes outbound calling , accurate documentation in the MOBE Portal, use of appropriate tools, and helping Participants towards the goal of Independent Self Management.
  • Identifies any issues or gaps in program execution in order to determine additional training needs
  • Evaluate employee productivity, performance, time and attendance
  • Use operational reports to assess Guide performance against departmental targets to identify any performance issues or training opportunities
  • Ensure projects, processes and initiatives are executed in the expected time frame
  • Actively participate in the interviewing, hiring and training of staff
  • Manage supporting operation processes ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance
  • Solve day to day operational issues directly or by leading internal teams to a solution
  • Identify and constructively communicate the need for improvements or enhancements in MOBE programs
  • Adjust workflow and responsibilities according to business and operational needs
  • Actively participate in the ongoing development of the department, i.e. policies and procedures, special projects, staff meetings and other departmental meetings/committees
  • Perform special projects as defined by Leader and other duties as assigned

 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in health care or a health care related field required
  • 3+ years experience in Operations Management role
  • Ability to use data to manage performance
  • Ability to convert data into information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with internal and external customers to deliver outcomes in order to meet the Client’s performance expectations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Able to work independently and with remote teams of staff
