The Accountant I is an entry-level position responsible for assisting the accounting/ finance department in posting daily transactions, work closely with other departmental team members during the monthly closing process and creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization. This accounting/finance department reports to the CFO. Essential Functions - Prepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
- Report to the accounting manager.
- Establish records of accounts and input entries into to proper accounts.
- Document and ensure proper financial recordkeeping based on company policies and procedures, making use of current available technologies.
- Prepare accounting forms and manuals as required.

Supervisory Responsibility The Accountant I role has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands This is a largely sedentary role, however some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position; typical work days are Monday through Friday. Travel No travel is expected for this position.
