Share Email Opening Title Advanced Quality Engineer  Description Interior Systems Coordinate the preparation and on-time delivery of Launch APQP / PPAP deliverables. Assist in developing the DFMEA and/or PFMEA Develop the Prototype, Pre-Production and Production Control Plans Develop the gaging strategy required to meet GD&T requirements and assist gage engineers in the procurement of the gages per customer standards/requirements Create and validate gage OWI Develop the Measurement System Analysis Plan for the program Negotiate, together with Product Engineering, acceptable GD&T tolerances Ensure Gage Studies (Gage R&R, Bias & Linearity) are conducted on all gaging used on the program and that appropriate corrective actions are taken to improve Gage R&R where data indicates Develop the Manufacturing Quality Systems for the Prototype and Pre-Production builds (e.g., Operation Instructions, Incoming Inspection Instructions, Containment Instructions, etc.) and document requirements in the Control Plan Ensure that critical part requirements are incorporated in tooling and equipment RFQs Ensure dimensional verification: Identify the parts required to be built, deliver those parts to metrology, and ensure dimensional data is properly gathered in accordance with the Engineering requirements and product drawings. Compile the data into useful inspection reports, and develop root causes and corrective actions with the development team Coordinate completion of Capability Studies, review results and document for all program critical characteristics, and ensure that Engineering requirements are met Attend buyoff/runoff of production equipment at Inteva and Supplier locations. Make team aware of part requirements and ensure adherence to PCP Deliver PPAP packages to the Inteva production site for full customer approval Report progress and escalate issues for “make parts” and purchased parts within the PDT. Assist with Supplier and Internal Readiness Reviews Ensure that appropriate statistical methods are utilized throughout the Product and Process Development process and comprehended, where necessary, into the Control Plan Support new product launches at Inteva facilities around the globe Complete all other Customer-specific Advance Product Quality Planning requirements   Position Requirements REQUIRED Knowledge of or experience in light assembly and plastic injection molding, preferably in the automotive industry Must demonstrate solid skills in communication, interpersonal relations, ability to work well in several teams at once, and ability to inspire individuals to improve performance. PREFERRED ASQC/CQM/CQE certification Specific education / training and applied experience in Quality disciplines is preferred. Including: IATF16949, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, AIAG Advanced Quality Planning, PPAP, D/PFMEAs, Control Plans, DOEs, MSA/gaging/fixturing, GD&T, Dimensional layouts, Manufacturing Quality Systems and SPC.
