Dassault Falcon Jet one of the most sought after brands in business aviation is seeking a Supervisor of Spares Quality Assurance. Under the direction of the Manager, Quality Assurance, this position is responsible for supervising the Spares Quality Assurance Department and monitoring work flow. This position is responsible for inspection of incoming and outgoing spare parts as well as inventory for compliance with Spares Quality standards and FAA/EASA regulations, within the departmental budget. This position is also responsible for supervising the daily activities, training, and development of Quality Inspectors and Delegated personnel. In the absence of the Manager, Quality Assurance, this position will administer the daily activities of Spares Quality Assurance.

Operations:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities and performance of Quality Assurance Inspectors and Delegated Inspection personnel.
  • Responsible for the inspection and assessment of all incoming and outgoing aircraft parts and related materials to ensure that all product is in compliance with Dassault Aviation and all applicable FAA/EASA or other NAA regulations.
  • Responsible for the identification and monitoring of shelf-life limited products to ensure the recording of shelf-life limits into the FACTS database, to remove any expired product from DFJ inventory and to periodically scrap any expired product per applicable regulations.
  • Responsible for the Inspection of Customer-returned Serviceable & Unserviceable inventory.
  • Responsible for the identification and monitoring of the Tool Calibration and Inspection Program (including Rentals) by ensuring all tools are in serviceable condition and proper calibration intervals are monitored and maintained.
  • Responds to customer or inter-departmental inquiries regarding airworthiness documentation or regulations.

Personnel:

  • Responsible for Development and supervision of the Quality Assurance Inspectors on a day-to-day basis to include recurring training and periodic performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for vacation and shift planning of Quality Assurance Inspectors.
  • Provides training for Quality Assurance Inspectors.
  • Provides training for Delegated Inspectors.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of Quality Assurance Inspectors.
  • Conduct employment new hire interviews, and make hiring recommendations to management.
  • Stays current on Regulatory requirements and industry changes as needed by the department.
  • Provides Regulatory guidance training for Spares and Customer Service Staff as needed.
  • Working closely with warehouse supervisors, is responsible for development and oversight of the Warehouse Delegated Inspection Program including recurring training and monitoring of inspection personnel.
  • Makes training recommendations for development of Quality Assurance as well as Spares and Customer Service personnel.

Processes:

  • Responsible for Development and revisions of ISO 9000 Work Instructions for all tasks related to the department.
  • Coordinates & Communicates with all departments to ensure smooth work flow.
  • Assures data integrity within both computer and manual systems.
  • Investigates Quality escapes (defects, failures, customer complaints), determines root cause, corrects discrepancies, and initiates actions to prevent repeats.
  • Recommends improvements to system and processes to increase Quality and efficiency.



Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Four years college degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Five years experience in aircraft Quality Monitoring Systems.
  • Three years experience aircraft or aircraft component maintenance.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • Three years experience in a service organization.
  • Working knowledge of FAA Regulations.
  • Experienced in use of aircraft manuals.
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant License
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers in a professional manner
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in the use of PC Windows business software (Microsoft Office preferred)

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to write and understand French.
  • Experience with FAA Part 145 Repair Station processes.
  • Experience in any Industry Quality Monitoring/Improvement Systems. (ISO)
  • Experience developing or writing procedures.
  • Experience conducting System Performance Audits.
