Share Email Opening Title Controller  Category Management   Description Job Purpose: Ensures the integrity of accounting data for the organization through a proactive and hands-on involvement in the company's financial operations. Duties: Oversee and review the accounting department functions including supervision of accounting employees to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Ensure costs are recorded to accurately reflect the performance of companies, departments, and projects. Coordinate revenue recognition analysis on projects to ensure revenue is recognized according to GAAP and Quanta policies. Oversee payroll functions to ensure payroll is performed and recorded in accordance with regulatory, union and project requirements; Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and ensures they comply with generally accepted accounting principles Consolidate the financial reports of all Quanta Subsurface reporting entities and report results in Quanta's reporting system. Ensure strong financial controls are in place to mitigate risk and meet the requirements of Quanta Services management controls. Analyze and manage inventory counts and recording. Coordinate with other departments for the collection and dissemination of financial information. Assist in the forecasting, budgeting, and analysis of corporate operations as needed. Coordinate the provision of information to internal and external auditors. Interact with auditors, and other professionals to ensure compliance with internal and legal requirements. Stay up to date on new regulatory and company policies   Position Requirements Skills: B.A. in Managerial Accounting or related Minimum 2 years’ construction industry ($50mm+) experience; SOX and construction experience required Minimum of five (5) years managerial accounting experience required. CPA or CPA Eligible preferred Excellent knowledge of computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and construction accounting software, COINS and/or JDE preferred Team player with a positive attitude. Self-motivated and capable of assuming the position with minimal training. Must be detail oriented and accurate.
