ATC is currently seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to join our Los Vegas, Nevada office. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a solid technical background. The candidate will serve as the Senior Industrial Hygienist for IH and Building Sciences projects within the western region of ATC. The position will be responsible for management and execution of IH (mold, IAQ, asbestos/lead, etc.) projects, preparation and review of technical proposals, cost estimates and reports, and business development. Qualified candidates will have at least 10+ years of industrial hygiene experience with 8+ years of direct responsibility for managing projects, providing QA/QC of deliverables, and assisting with business development. The candidates should also have specific experience in a similar role within an environmental, health and safety consulting firm identifying and implementing innovated, cost effective solutions that meet or exceed client's expectations. Experience with school district clients is a plus.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage project's scope, schedule, budget, staff, and subcontractors for existing public and private sector clients. Provide quality assurance/quality control during preparation of technical proposals and reports.
  • Supervise - and conduct - field work.
  • Client relationship management.
  • Prospect for new clients, cross-sell and assist with expanding client base.
  • Act as liaison and advocate for clients with environmental regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Implement ATC's health and safety policies and procedures.
Position Requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or related science-based discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience with proposing on, winning competitive task orders, and executing work under firm fixed price and performance based contracting terms.
  • Have current OSHA 29CFR1910.120 HAZWOPER training and OSHA 30 hour construction training.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is required.
  • Travel of 10 percent is required
  • Valid driver's license

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience with and licenses held in Building Science fields (asbestos, lead, mold) is preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional is a plus.
  • A working knowledge of all related OSHA standards will be required.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts commonly associated with the professions of safety engineering and industrial hygiene such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus, and the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
