Manufacturing Operator Level IV

Description

Assembles and/or packages various types of electronic products using production equipment, various hand tools and/or machines.

Reads blueprints, parts lists and/or other documentation to determine parts needed and assembly sequence.

Performs repetitive-type movements to assemble products.

Performs crimping as needed.

Performs all product sequences in multiple cells/product lines.

Solders components together per IPC-A-610 Class 3 requirements to assemble fabricated metal items and/or Thru Hole/SMT printed circuit board assemblies as specified by work orders, diagrams, and PWA layouts.

Follows verbal and written instructions.

Performs basic setup and operation of basic production soldering equipment or machines.

Ability to perform resistance or spot welding.

Ability to perform basic computer skills (preferred)

This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation

Certificates/Licenses:

ESD Control (preferred)

Blue Print Reading (preferred)

IPC/WHMA-A-620 Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies (preferred)

IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (preferred)

J-STD-001 Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies (preferred)

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or (GED) preferred. Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Productivity/Efficiency:

Ability to be efficient and exceed production expectations.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents written in English such as work instructions, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
