Description

George School, a Quaker boarding/day grades 9-12 college preparatory school located in Newtown, Bucks County, PA has an opening for a Leadership Gifts Officer.

Job Summary: The Leadership Gifts Officer's work increases George School's fundraising capacity through the successful cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a pool of prospective donors with the capacity to make capital gifts in the range of $25,000 and up. The Leadership Gifts Officer works closely with campaign committees and other volunteers. The successful candidate will be an individual with a strong development background, preferably in a campaign setting, who has had successful experience both soliciting and closing major gifts and who is able to travel extensively.

 
Position Requirements
  • Two or more years of successful major gift fundraising, preferably in nonprofit or independent school education.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, take initiative, and work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving fundraising goals and a successful track record of cultivating, soliciting, and securing major gifts.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and familiarity with database functionality and social media.
  • Commitment to the Quaker values of peace, equality, service, community and consensus decision-making.
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
