Share Email Opening Title Senior Professional Transportation Engineer  Description Alliant Engineering, Inc., is seeking a Senior Professional Transportation Engineer with significant experience developing construction phasing and maintenance of traffic plans (MOT). You will work in conjunction with the Project Managers, peer Engineers and CADD team members to coordinate the MOT design with other project disciplines to meet project deadlines for projects throughout Minnesota and other regions as needed. You will be given the opportunity to lead the MOT effort on local, regional, and national projects. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of transportation/traffic engineering principals and construction requirements/methods. Some experience with all facets of transportation project design, including roadway modeling, drainage, traffic and utility design is desired. Experience with Design-Build is preferred. You will: Lead a cohesive project team that develops construction staging and MOT plans on large traditional or alternative delivery projects Utilize your roadway design experience to direct the development of temporary roadway plans, including roadway models, alignments, profiles, geometrics and drainage. Utilize your traffic design experience to direct the development of develop traffic control plans, including temporary signing, striping and safety devices. Work with contractors and owners to develop innovative approaches to construction staging. Lead junior staff and promote the growth of their technical skills.
