Job Description (Essential Functions):
The Industrial Field Service Technician is a field-based, customer-facing role that works with customers at Refineries, Power Plants and Manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining current customer relationships along with building net new relationships.
The Field Service Technician will report to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Utilizing 'Best practices' for predictive maintenance and preventative maintenance services
Provide on-site support as well as phone and email support when needed
Provide adequate training and reporting to our customers and staff
Manage all customers using a CRM program along with a sales funnel
Manage company assets to include a company car, computer, tools, equipment, etc.
Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers
Perform necessary administrative duties accurately.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Minimum high school diploma
Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining the equipment to include pumps, motors, flushing skids, dehydration equipment etc.
Ability to read or have a general understanding regarding P&ID drawings
Able to work both individually and in an established team setting
Self-starter with strong customer service skills as well as excellent communication skills
Ability to operate remotely from the main office with minimum supervision
Experience with rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, turbines, compressors, gear boxes etc.
Able to interface with customers in a positive professional manner
Ability to think and act in a logical and methodical way
Must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and be able to utilize computer-based tools for reports, email and for general communication
Hold a current valid driver's license and good driving record
Willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate
Ability to travel in the U.S.A
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification is completed.
Previous field service experience is required - 2+ years of experience
MLA Level 1 or equivalent
Background check and drug screen are required
